Janitor AI is a character-card chat. You pick or write a character, then the reply comes from Janitor's own model, JanitorLLM, or from another model you connect with an API key and a proxy URL. Its help documentation walks through that proxy setup. Adult roleplay is possible, and it still depends on the model. A strict general-purpose model can refuse a sexual scene even though the website allows the character.

If you like the card system and you are only tired of one proxy, an alternative app will feel simpler and less flexible. You lose the ability to swap models mid-chat. You gain a vendor that has already picked one.

Use these when the Janitor character was really a girlfriend or boyfriend and the card format was incidental.
